Together - We Make An Impact

Democrats for Green Tree rose out of a shared belief that our neighbors deserve a stronger role in shaping our local democracy and our community. Many local Democrats felt shut out of the conversation, pushed to the sidelines. We knew there was a better way forward.

At Democrats for Green Tree, we believe strong communities are built when neighbors know one another, listen to one another, and work together. Our mission is to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, have meaningful conversations, and turn shared values into positive action.

Whether we're hosting community gatherings, volunteer projects, educational events, or conversations about the issues that matter most, we're committed to bringing people together in ways that strengthen both our neighborhoods and our democracy. We believe that lasting change begins with relationships, and that every voice deserves to be heard.

Our work is rooted in the values of inclusion, civic engagement, and service. We encourage residents to get involved at whatever level feels right for them—whether that's attending an event, volunteering, advocating for local issues, or simply meeting neighbors who share a commitment to building a more welcoming, equitable Green Tree.

Objectives

  • Bring neighbors together by creating welcoming spaces for Green Tree Democrats to connect, build relationships, and take meaningful action through volunteer opportunities, community events, and conversations that strengthen our shared sense of purpose.

  • Elevate every voice by fostering an inclusive community where all Democrats feel heard, valued, and empowered to share ideas, shape priorities, and help build the future of Green Tree.

  • Create pathways to leadership by supporting community members who aspire to serve in public office with information, mentorship, training opportunities, and encouragement every step of the way.

  • Protect and strengthen democratic participation by encouraging civic engagement, welcoming new voices into the political process, and supporting fair, competitive elections that give voters meaningful choices and inspire fresh ideas.

  • Advance progressive values by advocating for local, state, and federal policies that promote justice, equity, opportunity, and a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone.
