A Letter to Neighbors
Dear Neighbors,
We couldn’t sit this one out.
Matt and I are running for Green Tree Democratic Committee because we believe democracy isn’t something that happens to us, it’s something we build together.
Like many of you, we’ve felt the frustration. The sense that the system isn’t moving, isn’t listening, isn’t keeping up with the people it’s meant to represent. But moments like this aren’t a reason to step back, they’re a call to step in.
So we’re answering that call.
We’re running because we believe in a stronger, more responsive party, one that reflects its community, welcomes new voices, and isn’t afraid to grow. That kind of change doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen when people show up.
And one of the most powerful ways to show up? Voting.
Primary elections are where we shape the direction of our party. They’re how we hold leaders accountable. They’re how we ensure our values are front and center.
You don’t need to run for office to make a difference, but you do need to use your voice.
Make a plan. Check your registration. Talk to your neighbors. And most importantly, get out and vote.
Let’s move forward, together.
Thank you, Sam Salopek Democratic Committee Candidate Green Tree, District 3
